Burgess Consulting Group is led by Melanie Lang, an award-winning entrepreneur, executive, and consultant with over 20 years of experience building, scaling, and transforming organizations.
Melanie has founded, led, and sold multiple businesses, including a nationally recognized spa and wellness group that generated over $30 million in revenue. Her career spans executive leadership, organizational strategy, talent development, customer experience, and performance management across private, public, and service-based organizations.
What distinguishes Melanie’s work is her ability to connect strategic thinking with operational reality. She brings both executive-level perspective and hands-on discipline, helping leadership teams translate intent into execution without losing sight of culture or people.
Our Story
Burgess Consulting Group is named in honour of Melanie's maternal family, the Burgess family, whose legacy spans generations of global business builders, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
The Burgess name reflects a tradition of service excellence, resilience, integrity, and leadership with responsibility. That legacy includes business leaders who built and led global organizations, including an uncle recognized with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contributions to business and public service.
Burgess Consulting Group was founded to carry that standard forward, supporting founders and management teams who want to build organizations they are proud of, not just organizations that grow.
